The Fondation du Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) is delighted to announce that entries for the 2023 edition are open to all Swiss and international watch brands until 23 June this year, via the dedicated digital platform.
Every year, the GPHG and its Academy reward excellence and creativity in contemporary watchmaking through 20 prizes, including the prestigious Aiguille d’Or, highlighting the industry’s annual talents and achievements.
The GPHG Academy, now made up of 830 members, has already submitted several hundred timepieces for the competition. From today, brands are invited to enter the proposed models or other timepieces of their choice spontaneously.
The list of the 15 categories and the 2023 prizes, as well as details of the competition, are available in the 2023 Rules.
Registration conditions and formalities can also be found at www.gphg.org / 2023 registrations.

Once the entries have been received, the Academy will conduct an initial electronic vote this summer to determine the 90 pre-selected timepieces. The shortlist will be announced in early September, followed by a travelling exhibition of the nominated models in several countries during October. The Academy will vote a second time at the end of October to determine the 2023 prize-winners, in parallel with the Jury, itself drawn from the Academy. The Jury will meet behind closed doors a few days before the awards ceremony to physically assess the models in the competition.
The 2023 winners will be announced on 9 November at the 23rd GPHG awards ceremony, to be held at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva.
