Geneva, 6 October 2022 – The Fondation du Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) is pleased and honoured to announce today the composition of the Jury for the 22nd edition of the GPHG.

Historian, author and journalist Nick Foulkes will chair the next Jury, which will bring together the expertise of thirty leading figures from the world of watchmaking and the arts to determine the 2022 prize-winners.
“It is a huge honour for me to serve as President of the GPHG Jury. As in previous years, this Jury brings together a wide range of opinions and expertise, from both the watch industry and the wider cultural landscape. I am convinced that the GPHG plays an increasingly important role in drawing international attention to the watch industry, both within Switzerland’s borders and beyond, while reaffirming Geneva’s status as the world’s watch capital of the 21st century.”
With a wide range of skills and perspectives, half of the Jury was drawn from the Academy and the other half was chosen by mutual agreement between the President of the Jury and the GPHG.
The Jury will meet behind closed doors in Geneva a few days before the ceremony to physically assess the preselected timepieces and proceed to the secret ballot under notarial supervision. The entire Academy will also take part in selecting the winners by voting on the dedicated digital platform.
As a reminder:
At the beginning of September, the GPHG International Academy, which brings together more than 650 key players from the main sectors of the watchmaking industry, shortlisted the 84 watches and 6 clocks in 15 categories in the running to win one of the 20 prizes awarded to the year’s best watchmaking creations, including the prestigious Grand Prix de l’Aiguille d’Or.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 10 November at the 2022 Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva. This federative and strategic event, dedicated to the promotion of contemporary watchmaking creations, will be broadcast live on Gphg.org, Euronews.com, by our media partners around the world and deferred by Léman Bleu and Hantang Culture.
